Lullwater Gallery
1463 Clifton Rd NE,
Decatur, GA 30033
Originally a waste ground, the Lullwater Preserve has been transformed into an essential location for the Atlanta community after decades of preservation efforts. The Lullwater Gallery brings elements of the adjacent Candler Lake and the surrounding greenery to incorporate them into a fine arts space for the Emory University campus.
As visitors approach the entrance from the trail path, they are greeted with a circular artificial pond inside next to the reception desk. Heading to the right is the first-floor gallery space, and exiting the exhibition, visitors can grab food and refreshments at the museum cafe while enjoying the outdoor views.
The kitchen stands next to the elevator and stairs, where visitors can enter the second floor while enjoying the views of the artificial lake. The second floor contains two exhibition areas adjacent to each other, allowing flexible programming. Across from the galleries lie office rooms, a conference center, and an employee lounge, with windows exposing the surrounding outdoor scenery.
